Anissa Kuhar has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Illinois State University and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. She began her career in marketing and sales at a Gannett-owned newspaper and worked as an adjunct instructor at Rock Valley College. She served NIU for multiple decades in various roles including event coordination, meeting space sales and program marketing for NIU's credit and non-credit off-campus and online programs. After a brief three-year departure to work as an admissions director at Rockford University, Kuhar returned to teach NIU's business consulting classes. A result-oriented business leader and experienced higher education professional, Kuhar's goal is to change the world one learner at a time.
