Professor
Lan Li earned her Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in 1995. Before joining NIU, she was a lecturer at Hong Kong Polytechnic University between 1994 and 1995. Prior to her academic career, Li also worked in the hotel industry. Li teaches courses on introduction to the hospitality industry, lodging operations and revenue management. At NIU, she supervises hospitality internships. Her expertise and interests are in hospitality and tourism management and revenue optimization. Her research has been published in Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, Tourism Management, and the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education.
